Coachella Lineup Announced!
The 2022 Coachella lineup was officially announced this past weekend and it seems the internet is torn. Is this a good lineup or is it forced? It depends on what stance you are looking at it from. If you are like me and bought a ticket to the 2019 festival then there may be some heartbreak involved. For those of you who don't remember the highly acclaimed unicorn Frank Ocean himself was supposed to headline in 2019 which would have been the first time he blessed a stage since 2017. Having a secured ticket to a Frank Ocean concert had me feeling like Charlie Bucket from Willy Wonka. Not to mention Rage Against the Machine was supposed to have a comeback show as well as Travis Scott who is known for having some of the wildest live shows. But of course things don't always go as planned. So a few pandemics and cancel culture cancellations later we are brought a completely different lineup for the year 2022. I can understand how replacing rage against the machine with harry styles can completely throw people but overall I think the festival is just going to bring a different crowd.
The new headliners consist of Kanye West, Harry Styles, and Billie Eilish, which all in all is not the worst mix of artists I have ever heard but it really is nothing compared to what would have been one of the most legendary lineups of all time in 2019. Being as big of a Kanye West fan as I am, obviously I am excited to see him but this will be the 4th time I have seen him on a stage. Frank would have been a first for me as well as thousands of others. But we get what we get right, and I have been to coachella once before and can truly say no matter who is playing, the good times will roll. No pun intended.
